The discovery of Copic Markers

So early in 2013 I discovered Copic Markers.  I have been enjoying colouring with them ever since and learning heaps about different colouring techniques along the way.

This little mouse was my first attempt at Copic colouring, with my first 3 Copic markers, C1,C3 and C5.  Very exciting and I was hooked.  It has been a colourful journey since then with lots of Birthday Cards and Christmas cards along the way.
This one was from my first Copic Club, a colouring class I attended at Paper Flourish in Adelaide, it was a lot of fun and I began attending these classes as often as I could on a leisurely Sunday afternoon.

Then I  tried to be a bit clever and colour in a stamp outside of class, it wasn't until after attempting this one that I found out that red was a very difficult colour to try and blend, so in all I don't think I did too badly.
I am actually pretty pleased with this one, I was inspired by my niece, who had just started school this year, although, I don't think she ever saw this picture, but I like to think it is her heading off to school with an apple for the teacher :)
My most recent colouring creation is actually one I am quite proud of.  The Copic Club class for January was going to attempt monochrome colouring, unfortunately I was unable to attend, so I thought I would give it a go by myself, below is the finished product, and if I may say so I think it looks pretty darn good...
I plan to attempt more monochrome pictures as I think they look really good, but this year I also plan to challenge myself by perhaps entering some competitions, but we shall see how we go...
